Why I gave up consuming this — 29 weeks ago
This book has a wonderful premise. The daily journaling and the exercises that come with each chapter are introspective and thought-provoking. I really benefited from that aspect of the book. However, I could not tolerate the author’s obsession with God and her pseudo-psychology. She is not trained in psychology or therapy and it shows. If you check this book out from the library solely to learn how to journal and to try out some of the journaling exercises in the book, it is worth it. I will definitely continue journaling and I’m grateful that this book inspired me to. But don’t expect her to enlighten you, she’s sort of psycho in my opinion.
