This movie makes you feel so alive.
I love the way the art is incorporated into the story.
I love the way the hypocrisy of Rivera is not shrunk from (his “Communism” & his love of money/riches/power).
I love the way the complexity of real relationships is exposed.
Ah, but if you are the person I know afraid of same sex kisses, don’t see this! LOL!
Oh, I especially love how Frida doesn’t get disability for her gigantic infirmities but rather just goes on about life. I hate complainers.

I watched “Frida” for my “Artist Date” this week. I find visual artists facinating and Frida Kahlo is one of my favorites. I really enjoyed the look into her life and work as well as that of Diego Riviera’s. In addition, I think that Juli Taymor was the perfect director for this film. She blended art with reality with dreams in such a beautifully seamless way. bravo!
I found this an extremely enjoyable film. It makes me understand her painting so much better.
