Why it's taking me forever to finish consuming this — 31 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m twelve minutes in, and this movie is freaking me out. I still have sore feelings about what went down in 2000.

But I just remembered that in 2000, I was a college kid with no TV in Austin, TX and we “watched” the results come in online, so all the crazy TV footage with Brokaw and Jennings and Rather is actually new to me. I wish that segment had lasted a little bit longer than a minute or two.

Made Me Angry About the 2000 Election All Over Again — 47 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I both loved and hated this movie at the same time. The point of view they gave the audience on the election was quite enlightening.

It conveyed the chaos and exhaustion of the election perfectly. I felt as though I had run a mental marathon when the credits rolled.

The acting was spectacular. Particularly Kevin Spacey who was, as usual, a stellar vision of his character.

However, as much as I loved the film, I hated it for bringing back all the memories of the 2000 election. The idiocy, the corruption, and the pain of knowing all those mistakes will be made again.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Saw this on HBO and it is a fun film. We all know what happens and most of us saw the news reports on the recount in Florida for the 2000 Election, but what makes this film is the insider viewpoint. You spend most of the film thinking that all of these people (Repub’s and Dem’s) are just slightly insane. Spacey, Leary and Dern are really good and the conversation about the plural of chad is a beautiful piece of screenwriting.
