The events are of course not exactly the same as in the 13 episodes of the first season of the TV show but the characters’ personalities (well, especially Dexter and Deborah) in my opinion are almost dead-on and just like in the shows. (Especially when they talk to each other, I can picture the actors in my mind =]) This book is definitely worth the read – I just got the sequel from the library and I’ve heard good things about it!

I got hooked watching CBS air reruns of Dexter recently- and decided to read the book.
Somewhat true to the series- but at under 295 pages- you can’t really get 13 episodes out of that- so don’t expect the book and show to really co-incide.
Can’t wait to read the sequels.

We watched the Showtime series “Dexter”, which was based on this book. Once finished, I will dive into the sequel.

I bought this book in the fall from sales. I had never heard this author before. The book was in my bookshelf for months and now I finally read it. And it was surprisingly good :)
