I know I’ve read the Stephen King story this comes from, so figuring out the ending before the first half hour was done really should be no surprise. Only, I think you could have figured it out anyway.

It’s somehow to slender to be a good movie. One plot thread, one path through, very few characters. The actors do well, but it still doesn’t really pull together.

Has some real good acting and a neat score. But the plot is so predictable, ordinary, cliché-ridden and unappealing that the whole movie is just thriller with no surprises, thrills, or anything that comes close to entertaining.

Not the best film that I have seen, but it was entertaining all the same.

I can’t tell you why this movie is so disturbing without completely giving the ending away. However, I think I can say it is subversive in a direction that most films don’t go. And it’s assaultive to the audience in a way that reminds me of Hitchcock.
