What a testimonial to the genius of Charlie Chaplin – his silent film (or even just memories of it!) still has the power to delight today, even in these times of CGI, IMAX, and HD. Chaplin’s films are truly timeless.

In the new double dvd pack, the main film has voice overs. They decided in the 40s to add sound, Charlie had a hand in this. However, to see the silent film, watch the bonus disk, the original 1925 film is on there.

The part where he eats his boot made me laugh like a kid.
