i read this for my animal rights class. it’s a short, ‘breezy’ read, so i see no reason for anyone to pass it up. it’s a nice gateway into the animal rights discussion because it mostly asks questions instead of answering them.

the book details a lot of different sides of the animal rights argument through a fictional narrative. i really liked all the characterizations of for/against arguments (the ‘rational’ wife who seems very cold; the ‘sympathetic’ old mother who, like any grandmother, is endearing).
