I found the Little Prince a little silly – but it isn’t long and everyone should read it. Suggest maybe to read and discuss with a n older child, maybe 9 to 11. The discussion brings out the book.

The only book that ever made me cry. I’ve read many a tragic book, but the only character I’ve ever shed tears for was a silly little flower.
This is my all time favorite book, and I get chills every time I read it. Don’t ask me to explain, cuz I have no clue…. but j’adore Le Petite Prince
We had to read this in its native language for French class. Didn’t particularly enjoy it then, but I wonder if I’d feel differently now, 10 years down the line?
this is the third time for me to read this story, but the first time in english. it is as always touching and i know i’ll read it again and again whenever i want to remind myself not to be a stupid grown-up.
Annotation:
An aviator whose plane is forced down in the Sahara Desert encounters a little prince from a small planet who relates his adventures in seeking the secret of what is important in life.
I loved this book so much I read it in English and French! Even though it’s a “children’s book”, adults will love it too.
