I had always seen this film on list of funniest movies of all time. After having watched it the question is “Why?”. The first half is somewhat amusing at best. The second half is quite dull, the many meta humour “were making a movie” references made me yawn.

I loved Robin Hood Men in Tights, this movie not so much.

Maybe this was considered funny back in the day, but people should not be labeling it a “classic” anymore. I get that it’s supposed to be humorous, but it just isn’t. Yes, it bothered me because it was offensive. And the humor was dull, too slap- happy, and boring.

Brilliantly hysterical and subversive. This movie could not be made in the P.C. world we inhabit today and that’s a damn shame because the point of everything everyone finds offensive is to show how ridiculous it all is in the first place.

A little too crude and aimless for my tastes.
