101 Words: Bob Hoskins's Masterpiece — 2 years ago
WORTH CONSUMING!
I’ve liked Bob Hoskins since I was 10 and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? came out. He was nominated for an Academy Award for this film, and it’s not hard to see why. He plays a recent ex-con who takes a job driving a prostitute around the city, but problems arise as he becomes more involved. Hoskins plays a man who’s flawed and likeable; he makes the viewer care about his journey. He is surrounded by great acting from Michael Caine, Robbie Coltrane, and Kathy Tyson. Mona Lisa is engrossing and gripping, with a climax that had me out of my seat.
