i watch this movie a lot. it’s my “i want something in the background but don’t want to pay attention movie.” i own the dvd and have watched it on the television. the other night i was flipping through the channels and caught the near end of it. for the first time i noticed that the phone was ringing inside the dinosaur. (it’s right before they enter the bird cage). my question is this: would we really be able to hear a phone ring inside a dino after he ate a man that was holding on to it??? i can’t believe it only took about 900 times before i noticed it. have i told you lately that i’m slow?

This is by far my least favourite of the three JP films. The plot is a bit weak, and the film seemed very short to me, too (at least it did the first time I saw it). It’s worth watching for more cool dinosaurs, but it also really pissed me off that Spinosaurus, um, does the bad thing that he does not long after we first see him. (I don’t want to post a spoiler here, but it has to do with another of my favourite dinosaurs, and it just wasn’t a happy moment for me). ;)
