I have mixed views on this album. On the one hand, there are some fantastic songs on here, and a great mix of today’s best and brightest. On the other, there are already damn good versions of these songs – usually better than the version here.

I think the problem is this is aimed at a younger crowd than me – or at least those with younger music tastes. I still love original stuff from the ‘60s and ’70s, so there was a lot here that I could get my hands on the original from either mine or parents’ collection – and like a lot more. The tracks I liked best were definitely the ones I didn’t really know already.

It’s… karaoke. And not even brilliant karaoke at that – Kylie, Robbie – MUCH better singing voices doing their own thing. Just insipid here. Meh.
