NOT WORTH CONSUMING
There is just something too sexist about this movie for me. It’s considered a “fairy tale” by a lot of women. It’s about a prostitute who is helpless to save herself and must be “rescued” from her life by a rich man who in effect buys her…and women feel “swept off their feet” by that? Maybe it’s just a little too telling about many women’s motives, but I’ve just never gotten it.
