i like the way its very much about east berlin and west berlin and reunification and nostalgia for east germany . . . and the use of the the furniture and the apartments and the city and the cars and the countryside and everything is nice and precise and cute and all . . .

but i also like how much appeal the film had for me, emotionally, and i’ve never really been there or lived that experience at all.

I saw it on Rise Above’s consumed items list – and after taking a look at the summary on Amazon, it sounds pretty good.

I was thinking I would like to rent it when I first heard of it, but somehow it had slipped off of my radar screen. Now, it is back on – and I will remember to see it.
