I found the writing to be a bit cheesy and geared towards younger people (I’m 29) with the exception of the intimate scenes between Sookie and Bill. This is one of the very few times where I feel that the adaptation is better than the book. I much prefer the True Blood series on HBO than I did reading the book. There’s more substance to the characters and I love the addition of Tara and Lafayette.
