Like most comicbook-based “origin of super powers” films, this one is a slow starter that doesn’t hit its stride till the superhero is fully functional. But once engineering genius / weapons maker Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) dons his Iron Man suit, it’s nonstop action all the way to the finish. Gwyneth Paltrow is delicious as Tony’s personal assistant, Pepper Potts. Bald and bearded Jeff Bridges makes the perfect baddy. Well cast, well directed, worth watching.

A great superhero movie for adults and children. There’s a hot scene between Stark and a reporter, but it is quick non-nude scene where they flop down on the bed and kiss. There’s violence, but nothing horribly grotesque.
