A story about this — 5 years ago
I am a fan of Ani DiFranco, and bought some stuff on the righteous babe store, with which came a compilation of various RBR artists, including Andrew Bird. I reallly really loved Fake Palindromes and Measuring Cups was nice too, so I thought I’d buy the album with my next RBR purchase, which I did.
I thought it was a very good album. I don’t know much about the indie scene, so I can’t say if it’s new or overused, but it’s nice to listen to, relaxing but profound at the same time, depending on how you see it.
My favorite songs are still the ones I mentionned earlier; the other ones tend to kind of blend together, which can mean that the album is a good, complete musical feeling, or also that they are forgettable. I guess I’d go with the former. I should listen to it more to get more friendly with it!
