Neo and the Human Torch kick ass all over the ‘hood in this modern-day tale of good cop vs bad cop. Wait. Make that bad cop vs bad cop. No, that ain’t right. Street Kings is cops cops cops and more cops (and that dude from the Fast and the Furious, and the other dude from Crying Game) with a big bag of hey-isn’t-that! celebs mixed up in some crazy “LA is an evilllll place!” screenplay, one that’s pretty much dried up – the way almost all recent cop movies seem to be about. Are all LA cops really bent? Is everyone on the take? Let’s see what Dr Gregory House has to say about it.

Bottom line: Street Kings is half a donut better than Training Day. TD has better writing and better acting going for it, but for crying out loud, SK kicks so much more ass harder. Plus, Keanu plays a cop. What’s not to like?
