The woman on this show have careers the way Barbie had a career. She came with accessories—Veterinarian Barbie came with scrubs and a stethoscope, but that didn’t make her a vet.

The plot lines are really predictable, and Victory’s story seems to be happening on an entirely different show—a fashion designer courted by a billionaire—than the working moms Wendy and Nico. (Although their careers are a little grandiose as well.)

However, as with soap operas, these things are excusable because of scandalous content: affairs, hot sex, and melodrama.
