It just realized I finished this season 4 years ago. Season 3 kept bumming me out and it got worse and worse until the last few episodes were a bit unbearable. So, I decided to take a break and come back. I’m not sure how four years happened, but the interesting thing is it all still feels fresh in my mind. I think I’m ready now for the last two seasons, I just hope it can’t getting any worse for the characters at this point.

Augh. Is the third season ever going to get better? So far it is just weighed down with this horrible oppressive unexpressed tension – the relationships that are great on the surface but awful underneath. No one is moving forward right now. I hope it improves soon.

And it was going so well, relatively speaking, for the Fishers et al. My god, the last three episodes were almost unbearable. I mean that in a good way, I think. I love this series for what it shows and for what it doesn’t show. No other TV series breaks so many taboos and does it in such a “so what?” style. But, man, it can be a real downer. The season finale gave me a bit of relief, closure, but I was seriously bummed out for about two days afterward. I need a break, spend more time outside in the sun, hug my family.
