You know, for a sequel, it wasn’t really that bad.
It was perfect for what I wanted to watch tonight – a movie that would make me laugh if I suspended my disbelief for two hours.

Brian and i started watching this Friday night, but i couldn’t remember a lot of the character backgrounds and events from Ocean’s 11 (because of the ECT), so we watched that instead as a refresher. it gets better every time.
so late last night, we put this one on, which isn’t as good. it didn’t have as many great lines, you know, lines that make you laugh out loud. it seemed harder to follow, too. i wouldn’t say it was totally horrible and it had its moments, but i was definitely disappointed.
So it’s not as good as 11. But bad? I don’t think so. I quite enjoyed it. The characters didn’t have as much depth, but 12 had enough twists and turns to draw me in. Okay, the bit in the middle involving Tess (Julia Roberts) was a little too silly. But when I sat down to a movie tonight, I needed some entertaining fluff, and that’s just what I got. Die-hard Soderbergh fans shouldn’t be disappointed.
This was such a disappointment! Ocean’s 11 was clever and had wonderful twists to the plot. Oceans 12 was a waste of an excellent cast. It lost me completely 45 minutes into the film, I couldn’t make myself finish it.
