WORTH CONSUMING!
I could do without 5 of these tracks (the fake French opener and closer, one note joke “Boom”, “Leggy Blonde” [same joke is done better in “The Most Beautiful Girl”] and “The Prince of Parties”) but the rest are inspired.
“Think about It” skews “message” pop songs by wondering why sneakers still cost so much if they’re made by little kids in sweatshops while “Most Beautiful..” is damning with faint praise (“You’re probably even in the top 3 when you’re on the street…depending on the street”) and “Business Time” is easily the highlight, lampooning married sex.
Thanks, New Zealand, for sharing these guys with us Yanks….
