I loved C&C when it first came out on the PC. It was simple, fun and extremely addictive. This version of the game is stunning visually and is very challenging. There are a lot of new features and there are many different sides & scenarios to follow. If you are coming in fresh to the C&C series you will love it, but I feel the game has lost a little of its simplistic charm by adding in the new tactics and features. And you can’t have attack dogs any more!! And I hate the new menu, it’s really hard to use and can have bad consequences if you’re trying to get hold of something and can’t find it, as the game is very fast paced and won’t allow for slip-ups. I loved what they did with the cut-scenes. It plays like a real movie as there are live-recorded scenes played by a real (and impressive) cast of actors. You’ll recognise Jennifer Morrison (Cameron from House), Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost), and Michael Ironside (sci-fi/action movie hero) amongst others. Give it a go if you have the patience and can devote a lot of time to the missions. Also, it is very worthwhile to do the training missions as it helps you get to grips with the in-depth controls, and you’ll get achievement points for completing sections.
