Noooooooooo! They’ve turned bond into a psychopathic killing machine with no interior life. A terminator in a natty Italian suit. Incoherent plot, over-fussy editing, crappy theme tune. A waste of time.

I was pleasantly surprised with how good Daniel Craig was as Bond, especially after all the doubt preceding Casino Royale. Casino Royale was fantastic – great story, superb acting, and exciting action. I was therefore very excited about Quantum of Solace.

Sadly, it didn’t live up to the standard set in Casino Royale. It wasn’t any one thing, it just didn’t come together.

That being said, any fan of Bond (especially the Daniel Craig Bond) will be able to overlook these shortcomings. Hopefully the next movie will be better

Vesper martini – Bond had 6

Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel.

Worst written Bond in 20 years. There was a plot up to the opera scene, and then the plot just disappeared to be replaced with just a bunch of stuff happening.

Also – watch casino royale again before quantum – otherwise you’ll have no idea what is going on.
