Not that clever — 2 weeks ago

I admit I am not a big horror fan, and only watched this with my sons because I thought it would be a good scare on Holloween not that they are too old for Trick or Treating. But the movie was not that great, and not that scary even. I thought the stories about the victims and what they “did” to deserve their fates was not that interesting, and the police response when they go in the field to try and catch him was completely unrealistic. No radios, no backup, no PPE. Unbelievable.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Original = best. I was really sorry to see this franchised.

Tight, intimate, claustrophobic, psychological. Incredible for what they managed on their budget and shooting time.

WORTH CONSUMING!

people got exactly what they deserved. normally you feel bad for most of the victims but you see that they got what they deserved . it wasn’t total horror. i see some people who like thrillers watching. it;s different from the average slasher flick where the guy goes chasing the virgin all around. this is one movie where you probably won’t be able to figure out the ending.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Not full of the predictable, gimmicky twists that are in so many movies now; this movie actually has some surprise twists in it. It was great, I’ve seen it several times and enjoyed it just as much each time. A definite MUST-SEE!!

WORTH CONSUMING!

The most interesting thing about this movie for me was the message of “don’t panic.” The doctor was the picture of calm through most of the movie, but in the end he panicked. If he had stayed calm (like he even said they needed to stay earlier in the film) things likely would have worked out much better.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Saw is one of my favorite movies, so perhaps I’m a little biased. However, I do have reasons that it is a favorite.

For one thing, I am a big fan of psychological horror. I enjoyed the creativity of the “killer” and the plot twists that keep you on edge.

The ending completely took me by surprise, and I like when a movie does that.
The clever goriness and the creative plot made this great for me.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The first horror movie I’ve seen in ages – and sitting alone and ever so slightly twitchy reminds me why I stopped watching horror movies!

It was better than I expected: relatively clever, in fact. A few nice twists, a lot of bits that had me half-viewing from between my fingers.

Now just to forget about it totally and try to get some sleep!!

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Was not impressed. This was not much of a horror movie, more of a shock movie like Se7en.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Everyone says this is such a good horror film…but, I was half-asleep by the end of it. The ending was obvious and lacked creativity.
