Basically, in the words of someone special, COLDPLAY ARE GODS… and this album proves it… somehow whatever my mood every song in this album reflects it. I have been listening to X&Y almost since it came out… and i am nowhere near being bored by it!!!

My mom and I were on a road trip and popped this in. We ended up talking through the entire thing without noticing. It’s a little too low key for my taste.

The artist doesn’t have to be a tormented artist to make beautiful music. This proves it. Wonderful album. Misteriously optimitic and comforting.

Initial response was Y is better than X. But as with Rush of blood… the more I listen, the more whole thing gels with me. Love it.

I think this album is completely creative and full of isnpiration

I thought Chris Martin was happy. Why is it that every song on this album seems tailor-made for my situation? Hmm, maybe this is the universally relevant album for the times?

How does one label a CD that you’ve already listened to but are still listening to over and over again? Has it been “consumed” or am I still “consuming” it? I love Coldplay’s X&Y album and have listened to it many times and will listen to it many more times. I’m curious as to how others view the consumption of albums, which unlike books or movies, are consumed multiple times, not just once.

Agreed. Not as good as “Rush of Blood…”; not enough variety or memorable songs as the last. Hope they do better next time, but yes, it does grow on you.

No “Rush of blood…” but grows on you. Too many sappy love songs for Gwynnie.
