WORTH CONSUMING!

I first discovered this little gem when it was on network—all four episodes that actually aired. It was love at first view, then the plug got pulled on it. I never understood why.

Too smart? Too clever? Doesn’t appeal to the lowest enough common denominator? Who knows?

I was delighted to find it released on DVD, which I bought and have consumed.

What can I say about it? It’s quirky, well-written. Fun. Real. It’s a little wonder of a television show and the only complaint I have about it is that only 13 episodes have ever been produced. But perhaps that’s not a bad thing. Better to have only 13 episodes and go out a winner than to have kept on producing into the zone of mediocrity.

Get it. Watch it. You will wonder as well.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I accidentaly discovered Dead Like Me and loved it. So Wonderfalls was the natural follow-up and it did not disappoint.

I feel a disturbing empathy towards Bryan Fuller’s dysfunctional female protagonists for unknown reasons. Or maybe because it just makes so much sense not to have expectations in life, and yet have things go relatively well.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’ve watched the whole series a couple times since I added it to All Consuming. It makes me happy, but also a bit sad because I really like the characters and I sort of want to know what happened to them.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Is this a story about this or a review or what? I don’t know. I’m just writing about it. And I guess if you love this show I’d love you too. Well most probably, but who knows, you could be really scary or something. Obviously I recommend it since I like it. Anyway, why is it when I really love a show it is usually cancelled? The good thing about this dvd is now I get to see all the episodes. And it’s cool because even though it’s 1 season worth of episodes, it kind of ties things up at the end. So while it’s kind of painful there isn’t more, you do get some answers. But from some of what they said in the extras on the dvd, it really is too bad they didn’t continue the show because it sounds like it would have gotten even better. I like humor that’s a little strange and unusual, and I like shows that have a bit of mystery. This show has it all, plus an interesting romantic storyline, and amazing actors. Oh, and it just makes you feel happy for some reason. Well it makes me happy. I think it’s that music in the opening :)

WORTH CONSUMING!

This show is bizarre because this psycotic girl who lives like a third world graduated (my third world), and imagines things talk to her to save lifes. Is so unreal that i love it. No hopes no desires to become.

WORTH CONSUMING!

My second-most favourite TV show of all time – the perfect pick me up for when you are blue, and can be rewatched over and over again. Can’t recommend it enough.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love this series, I’m slowly watching the episodes I haven’t seen. There are so few I feel like I need to ration them out. Only five left.

The best TV show that (almost) nobody watched.
