again, the rotating cast ozu uses continue to charm me. i like the fact they never say anything about the kid’s eye. also, i like the passage of time in this movie marked with facial hair. i cant help but feel like im stepping back in time watching these films. ive really enjoyed them.
this is the last silent films available through netflix, now im going through his post-war stuff. just good film making.
