During High School, I participated in a semester abroad in the Indian Himalayas. It started during the winter, so there was very little fruit there. During the end of the trip, though, the passes opened and fruit could be brought up to the market. I bought a mango and ate all of it myself. It was wonderful.

I live in SW Florida where Mangoes are plentiful…Mango Salsa is excellent on top of fish or chicken…

To me, mango is like someone took an actually yummy tropical fruit, spit in it and rolled it in nastyness, then mushed it up so it has a foul texture. I really don’t understand why a large majority of the things I’d like to try ( like a bolthouse farms juice drink) have to have some mango in it. But for thoes of you that do like this icky creation, my share is yours :)

They’re probably my favorite tropical fruit, although pineapple comes pretty darn close. I like them fresh and cut in a special way which is too hard to explain here.

Mango is probably my favorite fruit. When it first entered my mouth, it was so soft and sweet. Also, for some odd reason, it tasted like marshmallow to me. Dunno about that.

Eat some ripe mango when it’s in season and you will be in heaven.
