Wow, what a delicate subject. Barbecue is such a matter of personal preference. My husband’s mother calls a sloppy joe a barbecue. I throw up in my mouth a little every time I hear it. Growing up Southern, I prefer pulled pork in a tomato-based sauce. To each, his own.. There is no “best” barbecue in the world. I’ll buy that there is the best in town or the best in the area, but it is such a regional dish that differs no matter where you are. I love it all, though. Yummmmm.

Once, when I worked overtime on the 4th of July, we were treated to barbecue by our employer. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning. Unfortunately, I’ve hated barbecue ever since. Even the thought of it turns my stomach.
