It’s the second time that I try reading this book and although I think I appreciate it more than last time, it is still really, really not a book for me. Like the poster before me said beutifully, it’s one long snoozefest! But, I hate not finishing a book. So I picked it up while going to Hampton Beach with friends – it’s around 10 hours drive, so I thought that reading an American classic about travelling while travelling in America was the perfect setting. BUT IT WASSTILL A BORE. And I came back like three weeks ago. And I am still not at half the book. And I have tons of fascinating books to read but I am stuck reading this stupid book (the fact that it’S 50 years old this year is not helping my guilt of not-reading). So I won’t give up. BUT IT WILL BE PAINFUL.

I got about 5 or 6 chapters in. Kerouac’s entire style of writing was just one long snoozefest for me. I may try to read this again someday. Maybe.
