So-so acting and a lot of screaming and panicking as a cursed Feng Shui mirror brings a mix of good luck and bad luck to a working mom in the Philippines. Everytime something good happens, like a big commission check, something terrible happens (even death) to balance it out. As a message story, it doesn’t really work, so the producers billed it as a horror film, and it works even less well at that level. Kris Aquino does her best, but cannot overcome the weak premise (instant karma’s gonn get ya) upon which the film rests. Too bad. I was hoping for more.
