WORTH CONSUMING!

Eloquently written, painstakingly directed and assembled, this is a story where the scenes are chronologically out of order and the script is bliss. The lives of a few people mix, and we see their every day lives; I shan’t say more about it as that would undoubtedly ruin the plot, but I loved this film. Every actor is great, the direction is sublime and I felt that everybody involved in making this film partook in trying to make the film something great, and not outshine their peers; brilliant, hard to stomach, and highly recommendable.

WORTH CONSUMING!

If you like the film Magnolia’s aspect of lives intertwined in a series of events, you will like 21 grams. Where one life ends, another begins.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I actually HATED this film. The characters sucked and were really unlikeable and unempathetic, the editing was so stylized it got in the way of the story and I got very impatient with it. The story was dumb, too. If I hadn’t seen “Crash” so recently, I might have liked “21 grams” more but … ugh, ugh, ugh. I wanted to stop watching the film and simply look up the ending (though we figured it out about 35 minutes into the film) online but my friend insisted. By the last third of it, we were mocking everything about the film. Wasted 2.5 hours of my life on this.
