WORTH CONSUMING!

This is the most recent chapter in Mickey’s career. The first disc are the final shorts, the second disc includes the three longer films that have starred Mickey from the last 20 years.

WORTH CONSUMING!

It took me a long time to watch all the shorts, but I loved every moment of it. I bought this treasure at the Walt Disney exhibit in Montréal a few weeks ago, I jumped on it because since it’s a Wave 3 Treasure it was already pretty much out of stock.

I used to be not much of a Mickey-and-his-gang fan, but as I became more and more of a Disney fan and of an animation aficionado, I came to realise the greatness of his existence and how what he brought for the modern entertainement (it all began with a mouse!).

While I must admit I am not one for the visual gags and some of the shorts were a bit low on content, the greatness of the Mickey character made up for it. He is so nice, so funny, so cute! I like him much more than the almost-famouser Donald Duck. It’s also nice to be able to laugh genuinely, at innocent gags.

A great plus for me was the more recent shorts on Disc 2, way more accessible and with a very good plot. All of the bonus features were good too. It’s a really solid set, and as is the case with all the Treasures serie, the packaging is really nice, it looks great on the DVD shelf!
