WORTH CONSUMING!
Gotta love David Bowie as Andy Warhol, and the debut of Jeffrey Wright as Jean-Michel was spot on. This would make a great movie pairing with Factory Girl, which doesn’t overlap at all, this being more about the nature of art and stardom. So many great little cameos, from Tatum O’Neal to Courtney Love and Willem Dafoe, it would be impossible to count them, but the reason I liked this was its raw, in-your-face challenge to stereotypes. Every character, even the corporate slobs (like Hopper’s portrayal of art buyer Bruno Bischofberger), is unique and feels real. Well done.
