The only reason I purchased this movie was because I met Ellen Sandweiss and had an instant crush on her. This was her only movie that was available at the time. It’s a very creepy, kind of scary, yell at the TV because you know what’s going to happen before the characters do, kind of movie.

BTW: I cry like a baby every time something bad happens to Ellen in this film. Especially when… (If you’ve seen it you know exactly what I’m talking about.) No spoilers here!

i had seen army of darkness first a long long time ago. my question is this- do you think evil dead was supposed to be scary? i know the other ones were comedic, and the first installment is as well, but all campyness aside, it does contain some potentially scary scenes. i.e., the rape in the woods, the possessed giggly girl.
