The story covers a lot of material, from prehistoric religions to virtual reality. The characters were engaging enough (you’ll love the rat/dog cyborg), but the story sort of petered out. Its almost as if he had planned a sequel but hasn’t come up with a big enough idea to sustain another book with the same heroes or protagonists (inside joke).
