WORTH CONSUMING!

I watched the extended version on DVD, i must say that it adds alot of character development, although it leaves it slightly choppy since certain scenes change with the extended versions.

I loved the flashbacks to Rays’ childhood and I love that Ray Charles himself had met Jamie and deemed him “worthy” of the role after jamming with him!

Would recommend this movie for a rainy night in, or a hot summer night.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would… It’s kinda funny how Ray is pictured as a druggie, womanizer, and just an overall no-good kinda guy… but at the end of the movie, you still have the feel-good feeling about him.

The acting was good and the tale was well-told, but there were just no redeeming qualities to any of the characters. I lost interest quite quickly despite the fact that I think, cinematographically, it was a pretty decent film.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I watched Ray this evening – something I meant to see while it was in the cinemas, but you know how it goes. The movie is long – I’m so glad we decided not to watch the extended version! Still, it’s a pretty good movie. As pointed out by almost everyone Jamie Foxx does a great job, and there’s some moments of fantastic cinematography. I enjoyed the music, too.

Jamie Foxx was a seamless and believeable Ray Charles, but at times the film felt disjointed. The storyline felt jerky and could be perceived as difficult to follow for people who don’t know the moving story of Ray Charles’ life.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Ray Charles is a great man with a fascinating story and this film is a compelling and entertaining telling of his story. Unfortunately, the scenes skip back in forth in time and space, which makes it hard to follow. Still, I found parts of the film very moving and I enjoyed it.

An impressively inane end to the movie.
