i absolutely adored heartsick so when i saw that the sequel was out i was excited. this novel picks off right where heartsick ends. archie has moved back in with his ex-wife and on the surface everything seems fine. he’s stopped going to see gretchen and is in real therapy. he’s even tapering off the pills. all until gretchen gets injured in prison and archie comes-a-running. fast forward to gretchen escaping her prison tranfer transport and once archie is under her wing. i liked how this novel dug deeper into the relationship of archie + gretchen. there wasn’t a lot of graphic torture scenes, although a few were thrown in for good fun. i also found certain parts to be down right sexy. all the familiar faces return and bliss provides some comic relief to keep things moving along. read quick, good book, still love gretchen.
