LA is keeeerazy! The Salton Sea is a horrible, festering wound. VK is awesome + a drugged out loser hitting the bottom … or is he? This movie comes highly recommended. Used to be a time ‘round 2003 when I watched this movie at least once a week. Four years later and it still rates high on my All Time Faves list.

Val Kilmer half naked with brilliant body tattoos should be enough reason to watch this intriguing journey into the CA drug scene, but I found myself drawn into his character, David, a tweaker and snitch who is out to revenge the murder of his wife. Lots of plot twists to keep you guessing. It ends with a question mark, which seems appropriate given the many transformations David must go through. Lots of violence, foul language and sexually explicit scenes kept this from mass distribution. Most certainly worth a rental.
