My father wanted to give a Céline album for my mother on Valentine’s Day (because they don’t own any and he thought it was a shame), so I suggested this one, because the title is rather romantic! And it’s supposed to be one of her bests, after D’eux (which I owned).

I do like it. It’s my cheesy side. I realised I knew the lyrics of all the well-known songs by heart! (S’il suffisait d’aimer, On ne change pas, En attendant ses pas…) At first I only listened to those but eventually the rest kind of grew on me, though some grate my ears (I hate Je chanterai). It’s a good album for people with a large tolerancy for saccharine pop ;)
