WORTH CONSUMING!

Re-watched this a couple days ago. It’s good timing, since I’m reading Ulysses, and both the book and the movie are loosely based on The Odyssey.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Despite disliking “Fargo” and “Miller’s Crossing”, I preferred this one the most. I don’t know why this wasn’t included in the Coen Brothers box set? Loved the music and was surprised to like bluegrass. Never saw George Clooney in a mustache before, but he looked and did good.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I finally got around to seeing this movie and found it completely hilarious. George Clooney’s facial expressions just killed me. And of course, it left me wanting to run out and buy the soundtrack, with all that wonderful bluegrass. I just adore Dan Tyminski (who sang “Man of Constant Sorrow”).

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m not a Clooney fan, nor a fan of the Coen brothers, nor a bluegrass listener. It took me about six years to get around to watching this movie. Lo and behold, I liked it.

Fine Clooney comedy — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Despite the hype, this movie was not the greatest thing since sliced bread. But it’s still quite funny and worth a look, particularly for bluegrass fans.
