This was my favorite movie when I was a kid, ever since I saw it in second grade. After I finally realized it was a Spielberg film when I was older, I remember wondering why it wasn’t one of his more popular ones. Dunno! Meanwhile, I have always disliked his most well-known, well-loved movie, E.T. Go figure.

urm.. uh.. wow. why did i watch all of this? god that kid was annoying. why didn’t anyone kill him or leave him to die?

maybe there just aren’t likable characters in Spielberg movies.. that’s our current theory
