Boun Giorno Principessa!
One of the saddest movie I have ever seen in my entire life. I sat there for ten minutes after I was finished watching it, just thinking. My Grandfather was a POW for three years, so this movie makes me realize at least part of what he went through.
the absolute, positive best movies you’ll ever see!! Oh, it has some sad points, but you can’t help but love Begnini; It’s about a Italian Jewish man who meets this woman played by his real life wife, and after some twists, they get married; the second part have them in the waning days of WW2, with a son, Joshua, and the Nazis come and take them away; the wife didn’t have to go, but for love of her family, she does and though it has its moments, you can’t help but love Begnini for trying to shield the son from the horrors of the camp; Like the baths; he just didn’t like them; saved his life actually; like him saying Grazie, instead of the German word but his father saving his literal behind, then him finally telling his son to stay absolutely quiet and don’t leave his hiding spot until it got quiet; Can you believe the little fella survived the camps believing he won a tank!! Too much; just too much;
