The Matrix is one of my favorite movies of all time, it made popular the bullet time effect and had a story that made you question reality. It was a brilliant movie however like most movies, the sequels got increasingly worse ]: Was great as a standalone movie, kind of average as a trilogy.

Cyberpunk, sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy, personal development, fight and action well mixed together. Great audiovisuals and music.

I’m not a big fan of Keanu Reeves… he’s dry and very bland – unless he’s Ted Theodore Logan and unless he has no lines… ironically, his best line in this movie is when he witnesses Morpheus’ jump: “Whoa!” But it’s a good movie all the same.

Another one of my favorites, which is surprising, because I’m not usually into the sci-fi/crazy fantasy stuff. But this movie was great, and I liked the message in it about freeing your mind and all. Not sure if I want to watch the other two or not. I heard they were bad. I wouldn’t like to ruin the original movie for myself.

very original. 2 and 3 were diappointing

It, along with “Requiem for a Dream”, reinvigorated my faith that contemporary movies can be orginal and exciting.

It’s a shame the two sequels didn’t leave up to the promise of the original.

I actually understood it :) yay me. of course, i was also watching it with someone who had already seen it a million times so he could help me out. but i wanna see it again and see what i didnt catch before.
oh yeah and about the movie. it was good i liked it and i intent to watch the other two at some point
