So many great songs it’s still worth consuming but I stand with George Martin in saying it shouldn’t have been a double.
Without even having it in front of me, I can think of several tracks I’d cut from the listing:”Savoy Truffle”,”Glass Onion”,and “Revolution 9” spring to mind.

Germantown
One of the more eclectic, thoughtful, experimental works by The Beatles. Unlike some of The Beatles’s albums, which have a particular Good Sound and exploit it – this album has a variety of styles to it.
There are many songs on this album which feature not just their trademark singing vocals – but also a variety of sound effects and spoken lines, overlayed on top of the singing and instruments.
This one is a two album set too, so given the obvious inclination that was going on to explore here – coupled with the great number of songs, this one is truly a package containing a great variety of songs by one of rock music’s most famous bands.
