WORTH CONSUMING!
Thanks to all my friends who called to alert me that My Boy Jack was on Masterpiece Classic last night. I was already planning to watch the film, but I appreciate the sentiment. Last night on Eugen Weber’s The Western Tradition, he was talking about WWI and WWII. I thought this showed great synchronicity with the drama about Rudyard Kipling’s son’s enlistment in the British army for WWI. Recently I’ve been revisiting the poetry of Wilfred Owen and Yeats. Sometimes I feel we’re on the verge of repeating such horrific events…
