WORTH CONSUMING!

One of Disney’s best message movies ever. This time the theme is waste-making, with a couple of cute robots and what’s left of humanity literally floating their lives away in space. I loved the many visual references to classic sc-fi, from Auto’s resemblance to HAL of 2001: A Space Odyssey to the trash room in Star Wars. The flight scene with the fire extinguisher was superb. Definitely for adults as well as children.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This inspiring cartoon tells the story of robot love in a Dystopian future that looks all too familiar. I was more intrigued by the side story about humanity, who abandoned Earth for a five year “vacation” to give the robots time to clean up the place they destroyed. 700 years later, humanity turns into a chubby, boneless race of lazy people who drink their meals and move through the use of floating recliners. The robots take over all of their physical activity. Even golf! The main story line centers on robot love. Let’s face it. It’s a kiddie movie, but certainly not one to miss. Best Pixar film I’ve seen since finding Nemo.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I think my daughter Stephanie summed it up best when she said that this was a “cute” movie, and not necessarily funny in the “Toy Story” sort of vein.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m not into children’s movies, and this is a children’s movie. Still, Wall-E was fun, and funny. And it’s science fiction, which helped make it interesting. Still, it was a little too long.

WORTH CONSUMING!

These guys don’t seem to be showing signs of slowing. I did get a little annoyed that the majority of the dialog was just Eve and Wall-E saying each other’s names. But it was certainly well worth seeing.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Absolutely excellent movie. One of those that I can’t wait to purchase when it comes out on DVD. My husband, my 7 year old son and I all loved it. I even teared up twice.

Wall-E is a touching movie that reminded me slightly of ET in animated form. It kept us entertained from beginning to end.

It touched my heart. Go see it. Now.

Pixar's best movie yet — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Pixar’s best movie yet blends comedy, romance and adventure, plus a generous dose of underdog charm from the Chaplinesque hero. And unless you’re a rabid global-warming denier or a fan of ceding total control to huge corporations, the gentle criticism of consumerism will make you think, and quite possibly spur you to plant a few trees when you get home. A Beautiful Story About the End of Life on Earth — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to see Wall-E or not, but from the first haunting images of a city filled with garbage accompanied by a song from the musical “Hello, Dolly!” the film had me. It’s quite an amazing achievement to tell a story with no dialogue and large sections of the film do it brilliantly. With the usual great animation I never thought about the film being animated until the end credits which take a tour through the history of art from cave paintings to 8-bit computer graphics.

The most amazing achievement is in how they manage to impart so much emotion and depth to characters that don’t have traditional human features or expressions.

I’ve seen the film twice now and I liked it more the second time as I noticed more lovely details. It’s a great film that is a bit dark with characters who rise above the despair around them.

what a fantastic little movie. there were only a couple groany kid moments, and the rest was just charming. i found myself laughing at different times than everyone else though, there’s a lot of quick little jokes, very subtle. that’s one thing i worried about, if the message itself of this movie was too subtle that kids wont get it.

wow, Pixar has really stepped it up…not like their movies are bad. but i really liked it.

even with the minimalistic dialogue, this movie is nothing short of an awesome love story. it made me cry…even though most movies make me cry regardless. laugh, cry, and everything in between. its a must see.

Pixar raises the bar. Yes, again. — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Until I saw Wall-E, I never would have believed that a sweet, family-friendly, Disneyesque love story could be combined with a darkly humorous, dystopian sci-fi movie—and work. Yet it does, and outstandingly so. Pixar’s best movie ever, at least until the next one.
