This is apparently a remake of an old movie, though not an exact remake, just the same concept. I didn’t see the original. This movie is totally unremarkable, fluffy, light, inoffensive, but watchable. I wouldn’t recommend it particularly, but I wouldn’t dissuade you from watching it either.
