great action movie, good story — 30 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I really liked it even though the movie didn’t left some plot questions open (the loom). I figure it left that question unanswered to leave room for a sequel.

The story was really cool – reminded me of Fight Club a bit with the whole “F* everybody” sort of attitude throughout. I’d definitely recommend this movie to anybody but the squeamish (and members of PETA…lol).

Weeks after seeing this I still can’t decide if I hated it or if the ideas were mildly interesting. Basically: fun to watch special effects, predictable story, cheesy dialogue. But I’m a bit of a sucker for films that explore the definitions of good and evil, so I’m going to say it barely makes it into the worth it category.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I really enjoyed this! It’s fast, it’s fun, and it involves an office worker with the crappiest life ever grabbing hold of his destiny with both hands and being bloddy good at it – perfect! :)

Definitely a bit daft, but if you like a spot of semi-mindless entertainment, some good special effects, and of course some glamorous peeps driving fast cars and shooting lots of guns – hurrah!

WORTH CONSUMING!

I think Sham put it best with: “it’s a combination of Fight Club, The Matrix, and 300.”

WORTH CONSUMING!

Some pretty ridiculous/ hilarious moments, perfect for an action film. It doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously which makes it enjoyable.

It has a sort of Fight Club lite vibe to it, with the narration being the most obvious aspect of it. This comparison could be a good or bad thing, but it really doesn’t matter. The visuals are very nice, and there is a slight comic book aesthetic to it which I always enjoy.

James MacAvoy is so fantastic. I have been enjoying his work since Shameless and I am glad he is doing so well these days and gets to pick the roles he wants to do, acknowledging how ridiculous his choices are, but that he’s happy have the opportunity to make them.

Big Night.

Comic vs Movie — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’ll still say it, read the book. I’ll recommend Wanted based the visuals alone. In fact check out NightWatch and DayWatch.
The story has some holes but I enjoyed it. I tend to be critical of films translated from other media but just tried to watch and enjoy and it was fun.
2 Things I wanted was Chapter 2 and the Ending from the comic to be reflected well in the movie. It wasn’t an exact reflection but I enjoyed it.
I’ll prolly get more into details on my site.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Wanted- Very cool, very funny. Angelina- yummy as always, I want the pistol she has in this movie. Ok, I want her and the pistol she has in this movie. Soundtrack looks like it might be a good one.

I’m a little pissed about the $8.75 I payed for a hot dog and a coke though!
